Interpretation

    • Wall of monastic latrine. The wall has been altered with the addition of door 8010 and possibly windows on the eastern side.

    • Wall of monastic latrine. Materials - flint nodules, stone and brick. Flint nodules are variable size c. 0.10 x 0.10m. Stone is 0.20 x 0.12 and brick is 0.21 x 0.06 x 0.09. Stones unfinished, whole and fair faced with random coursing. Bonding material is mortar - yellow-grey, frequent sub-angular grit and chalk.
