Interpretation

    • Uneven chalk layer either side of circular feature (geophysics) (5003) [5006] - Kerrie Hoffman

    • Mid yellow brown clay silt with frequent chalk flecks, forming the internal surface of the circular structure. Finds included a small quantity of slag, white porcelain, and modern glass and corroded nails.

  • Frequent small sub-rounded chalk pebbles, occasional sub-rounded stone pebbles
  • width: 3.00 length: 0.60+ depth: 0.09+
  • Greater clay percentage towards the bottom of the layer (90%)
  • Mattock, dry sieving. Hot & dry
