Description

  • Compact
  • Mid grey-brown
  • Sandy clay
  • Occasional flint and small chalk deposits
  • Width: 1.00 Length: 1.90+ Depth: 0.38
  • Some variable sizes of flint and red sand coming through at bottom.
  • Weather exceptionally hot and dry, excavated with mattock and trowels. Lots of damping down required as ground dries out very quickly.
