Interpretation

    • Natural clay layer with fragmented chalk. Probably caused by several small trees removed during clearance. When cleaned fragmented chalk removed appeared as (4002) - Kerry Ely

    • Mid yellow clay layer, similar to, and abutting (4002) with a higher frequency of chalk fragments and suggesting root disturbance and human deposition, possibly as a result of clearing out of the ditch at some point.
