Interpretation
-
- Below the mudbrick surface is a fill very similar to that of contexts 28006 and 28008. It contained similar quantities of animal bone, CBM and shell but not enough to represent a coherent midden. There were also occasianl mud bricks which were found inrregularly and occasionally within the fill, these might be where subsidence had affected context 28007. The fill represents a period of human endevour to fill the depression of feature 28001, this might have been to provide an even surface for context 28007.

- small mud bricks chunks were found dispersed loosely at various depth throughout the layer (deeper than 28007)
- Fair with occasional cloud, Fine troweling up upper portions before mattocking of the majority of the context
