Interpretation

- Subsoil layer showing further evidence of bioturbation of landscaped deposit. Rabbit burrows were observed throughout, explaining the variety and mix of finds found within this layer as well as the high proportion of rabbit bone fragments emerging from this deposit.

- Very loose
- Mid greyish brown
- Sandy silt
- Occasional chalk fragments, occasional charcoal, moderate sub-angular to rounded pebbles
- Length - 2.00m Width - 2.50m Depth - Ranges from 0.14m to 0.20m
- Contains CBM. Rabbit burrows observed throughout, including two substantial rabbit holes in the trench section. Pottery from all 4 Quadrants : 2 pieces of Late Medieval Transitional Ware LMTI & LMTIII (P401/3) - ca 1400 - 1600, 2 pieces of Glazed Red Earthen Ware (P425) 16th - 19th Century, 1 piece of Staffordshire Slipware (P428) - mid 17th - 18th Century and 2 pieces of modern Miscellaneous 19th - 20th Century wares
