  • TP1 - The test pit's exact positioning was determined by auger and GPS survey. It was planned to be adjacent to the postulated northern edge of the Bronze Age platform and east of the Mustdyke, however auger results meant the exact position was further away from the edge of the platform. This test pit measured 1.5m x 1.5m. TP2 - Located between the Preservation Hall and the Mustdyke, this trench's aim was assess the condition of the timbers on the post alignment. This test pit measured 1.5m x 1.5m. TP3 - This trench was located 12m east of the old Time Team Trench 1, east of the Preservation Hall and equidistant from Test Pit 2. It was positioned above the post alignment close to the Northey Island landfill.
