Interpretation
-
- Retouched blade (3.9g) Edge damage and patinated. Broken at both ends and has low to semi-abrupt retouch along the majority of both lateral margins. It has a few tiny nicks along the edges that may reflect incidental damage that occurred following discard and the breaks at both ends likely also occurred during post-deposition. Moderatley patinated with a dull white film covering most of the surfaces. It was made on a light grey flint with cherty and tiny speckled inclusions. >38.8 x 17.6 x 6.0mm. Mesolithic/early Neolithic. (Dr JT Hogue December 2018)
