Top fill of ditch running N-S across eastern edge of trench 4

Interpretation

    • Layer of ditch fill present throughout most of ditch running N-S along eastern side of trench. Contained a lot of material, particularly pottery, including large amphora neck and handle. Is the same as the upper ditch fill present in 2021 trench 4 when ditch continues on same line
