Interpretation

    • The cut of a possible post hole associated with the timber structure in the central area of trench 4. A large stone was present in the top of the fill that could have been used for packing. A neonatal burial SK4233 was discovered at the base of this cut. Possible human cremated bone was also discovered within the fill. Burial of human remains is known within post holes in a roman context. Alternatively, this feature could represent a small grave
