Short Description:

Interpretation

    • A probable alluvial deposit, likely to be the same as (4088). The two contexts (4088) and (4089) were split during excavation as they were slightly different in composition and density of finds, (4088) was more dense than (4089). (4089) was a lot more clayey. This is possibly because it was lower and closer to the palaeochannel that runs to the north and east of the trench.
