Short Description:
Cut of a post hole near to linear enclosure ditch [11039] extending beyond northern LOE
Issued to
Bill Balding | 30/08/2022

Interpretation

    • Cut of a circular post hole partially extending beyond the LOE. This post hole has been filled by a single homogenous clay material (11042) and is capped above by alluvial clay layer (11045). It is likely the feature was filled in by similar deposition processes to the layer above - from alluvial flooding events from the nearby river. This post hole sits adjacent to another [11043] and may be contemporary due to their proximity and simar characteristics. However, no direct relationship could be observed in section
