Interpretation
-
- Cut of a roman linear enclosure ditch. This was not fully excavated in the slot against the LOE, however through comparison with the slot near the southern LOE, this cut likely represents the recut of the ditch. This recut is through clay alluvial layer (11045) which caps postholes [11041] and [11043], meaning the ditch must be later than the post holes
