Narrative

    • Probable small storage pit - the lack of finds suggests storage rather than rubbish pit. This feature was part of a cluster of inter-cutting small to medium sized pits that could date to the Iron Age or early Romano-british period in the NW corner of TR11. This inference has only been made due to the similarity of this feature in form and character to other pits in the vicinity that it is expected will date to this period. However, no dateable material was recovered from this feature to confirm or deny this hypothesis. This pit truncates both F1118 and F1120.
