Narrative

    • Large circular pit. The pit was cut 4129. The sides then slumped 4130. Then it was filled in two events 4131 and 4097. 4097 was filled with a lot of Roman CBM so the pit was probably in use during the Roman period, function unclear.

Dating Narrative

    • Roman. Sherds of pottery from a grey ware jar or bowl with a corugated profile and sherds from a grey ware jar perhaps dating to the later 1st to 2nd century AD.
