Layer truncated by ridge and furrow in south east corner of courtyard area

Interpretation

    • This layer appears truncated by medieval ridge and furrow ploughing. As such, the top of a number of features were obscured by spread material from the ploughing. Repetitive cleaning helped to better define features that were cut into the natural alluvial/gravel below.
