- A small Iron Age storage pit cut by a later probable Roman burial F#602. The pit had the standard characteristics of pits on the site, being sub-circular with steep to vertical sides and a flat base. It was 1.52 meters long, 1.04 meters wide and 0.36 meters deep. There were two fills in the feature. The basal fill (6150) was a moderately compact, dark brownish black clayey silt. It had frequent charcoal inclusions and animal bone finds which may suggest this storage pit was used to dispose of waste after its use as a storage pit ceased. The upper fill (6104) was a moderately firm dark greyish brown clayey silt with occasional rounded stone pebbles and occasional charcoal flecks.
