- Pit in north east of building area, part of a pit cluster including F996, 997 and 998. It was cut by pit F998. It was 1.00m long, 0.94m wide and 0.63m deep. It appeared to have had some sort of lining which had been in a fire at some point. A small sample of it was kept as burnt clay.
