Narrative

    • A probable enclosure ditch seen once the silting layers and robbing events of the villa were removed. The ditch runs from robbed out column base F974 to the south east for 8.10m then makes a sharp turn to the north east running for 5.33m before terminating. It was 0.94m wide and 0.48m deep. Where the ditch appears under the robbed out wall it contained the same rubble fill as the robbing event. It was steep sided and v shaped.
