    • This feature has been interpreted as a robbed out column base, the robber cut measured 1.60m long, 1.33m wide and 0.45m deep. It was filled with poorly sorted limestone/chalk rubble. The column base is one of 7 uncovered probably forming part of a winged corridor villa. This column base cut earlier features, including pit F976. The date of the robbing event is unknown however it is likely it took place in the 5th Century or later.
