- A wide shallow ditch running for 81 meters from east to west in trench 4. At the eastern end of the trench it was 3.38 meters wide and 0.37 meters deep and at the western end of the trench it was 4.10 meters wide and 0.13 meters deep. In the centre of the trench it was 3.50 meters wide and 0.20 meters deep. It contained two fills, the basal fill was a pebbly layer, probably what has been called F#910 at the western end of the trench. There were two small finds discovered in the ditch, sf17 was the tip of a bronze age axe head (1000-800 BC) and sf20, a Roman Colchester two piece type brooch (43-100 AD).
