Narrative

    • A bell shaped pit located within ring ditch F#512, cuts a smaller pit F#641. It had a circular cut with steep to undercutting sides and a flat base. It was 1.63 meters long, 1.22 meters wide and 0.90 meters deep. It was very similar to the other Iron Age dumping pits on site, however considerably more undercut than most of them. Could be due to fluvial build up collecting in the pit and wearing down the sides rather then intentionally dig this way. It contained 3 fills.
