- An Iron Age pit in the east of trench 5, this feature was cut by ditch F#515. It had a length of 1.30m, a width of 0.94m and a depth of 0.65m. The cut was straight sided and flat bottomed. The pit contained two fills, (5230) was the basal fill, it was a soft mid greyish brown silty clay. The secondary fill (5223), was a soft mid greyish brown silty clay. They are probably the same.
