- A ditch running for 82 meters from east to west in trench 4. It cut ditch F#911 and two gullies F#898 and 899. At the eastern end it was 2.74 meters wide and 0.97 meters deep, at the western end it was 1.70 meters wide and 1.02 meters deep. It contained one fill at the eastern end, it was recut towards the west. A number of small finds were found by metal detector in the upper fill (sf# 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22). These were mainly coins, including an Iron Age coin of Rues (1-10 AD), a coin of Trajan (114 - 117 AD) and two others from the late 3rd century AD, and a bracelet from the 4th Century AD. This could indicate the longevity of the use of the ditch, for four to five hundred years.
