Interpretation

    • Fairly young individual. Appears to have been perhaps wrapped tightly on the torso as the arms are lying on top of the torso with the head turned upright.

Description

  • Body appears to be in the supine position however the arms are resting on top of the torso instead of lying by its sides. Skull is turned to the west in an upright position rather then lying back.
  • Upright; turned to the west. In very fragmentary condition. Skull appears to have been smashed Post mortem, perhaps by layer disturbances.
  • Arm lying on top of torso lower right arm in very poor condition. Hand not preserved in situ. Could be found in sample taken.
  • Left arm lying on top of torso, left hand found underneath left leg, likely was resting on top of left leg but decayed to that position. Lower left arm in poor condition.
  • Legs in okay condition lying flat towards the moth end of the grave, appear to have been slightly disturbed.
  • Same as right leg.
  • Feet not recovered articulated. May be partly found within sample.
  • Skull very fragmentary. A lot of bones in poor state of degeneration.
