Short Description:
Cut of shallow ring gully terminus
Issued to
Mai Walker | 25/02/2020
1666

Interpretation

    • Cut of shallow ring gully, possible terminus - may be where gully has been truncated out. Runs parallel to ring gully [4753] and ring ditch [4751], but seems to terminate before reaching [4755], maybe due to truncation? This feature has been noted as the middle ring gully, but in this area becomes the inner gully, very shallow and filled with sterile fluvial silting (4863). May have been used as an ring enclosure for animals or for earlier round house feature? Unsure.
