Interpretation
-
- Fill of grave [4856], contains SK 4857. Contains large inclusions of tegula and CBM, suggests an intentional backfill of surrounding waste material when filling juvenile grave. Tegula found throughout fill. A piece of pottery also found by skeleton - may help with dating. Fill may have been disturbed by bioturbation due to the poor preservation of the juvenile skeleton 4857 within fill.
