Infant skeleton in grave [4788]

Interpretation

    • Infant on N/S allignment, condition of bones is fair - good, head, hands and feet are missing. Burial was left semi- exposed for a period of time and this may have effected it's survival. Allignment suggests unusualness, may relate to similar practice as other N/S bodies. Very shallow grave cut, just on the edge of large Roman ditch running E/W.
