Short Description:
Fill of grave [4660].

Interpretation

    • Fill of grave [4660], contains SK 4661. Fill contained CBM, tegula, pottery, nails, animal tooth etc. Likley the result of intentional backfill when skeleton was lain into grave, the fill likely contains the debris of the Roman building just to the east of the grave. There is also a rough stone lining against the cut, contained within the grave, this has been attributed to the fill as the lining is very rough and also likley to be contemporary to the fill.
