Short Description:
Cut of possible large pit
Issued to
Ben Swain | 03/02/2021

Interpretation

    • The cut of a large circular probable Iron Age storage pit near an area of pitting in trench 3. This pit is filled by several different silting events which included a regular distribution of daub throughout, indicating a structure once existed somewhere nearby. The pit is then cut at a later date by a rectangular shaped linear feature and a small shallow gully.
