Description

  • Large, horizontally dressed limestone blocks, split unevenly along bedding plane
  • Varied:
  • Roughly hewn
  • Drystone, with smaller and larger blocks shaped to fit seemlesssly with the underlying course. No organised pattern.
  •  
  • Internal faces all exposed (N, S, E, W) and external W face
  • No bonding material
  • Two sided cellar structure, with one side exposed - - but Devon (still buried) side plotted through exposing W facing wall(14.3m). Excavated portion: L. 10.6; W. 6.2; D 1.2
  • Good - sunny
