  • Somehow we got started watching time team and love every minute.   We would love to come to Lindisfarne but haven’t been able to work it out. We do visit the UK frequently.   So glad to find this a bit closer but not much since we are from Texas.  We sometimes find arrowheads and other native artifacts on our ranch but it’s not often.
  • Finding the horseshoe!  It was the most unusual item that I unearthed.  Seeing the upper edge emerge unrecognizable and slowly revealing its true nature with careful digging were exactly the kind of experiences I had also associated with field archeology.  I also appreciated the several learning opportunities provided, especially the “photographing sites” talk done by Chris.  Speaking of Chris, he did an very fine job of keeping us informed and directed as the work progressed.  I only wish I could have spent more days at the dig.
