  • I am a manager in a call centre that deals with energy
  • I decided to support this dig because it is local, falls on the right dates, is interesting because me and my wife have been watching documentaries about the era of the monastery and she is also reading about vikings and the raids on the Northumberland coast. I love history - always have. Would have liked to have been an archaeologist and I got treated to this gift at Christmas. Me and my daughter go field walking and often find lots of interesting things like clay pipes. Although I enjoy all history my true passion lies in the English civil war era.
  • Experiencing a full dig and seeing every aspect of the dig e.g. finds, digging and recording. The camaraderie has been great. It's my first dig but I've thouroughly enjoyed it.
