Narrative

    • Pit in the south west of trench 4. It had a diameter of 1.20m and was 0.40m deep. It had two fills, at the top of the upper fill there were large stones, similar to other pits in the area. The pit might be a post pit, having been excavated the post was placed in the pit, then secured by the large stones and backfilled with the soil that had been removed. This doesn't seem too likely.
