Narrative

    • A pit in the south west corner of trench 4, possibly inside an enclosure ditch F410. The pit was 1.70m long, 1.30m wide and was 0.75m deep. It contained 3 fills, a basal fill made up of initial silting up, then a slumping event occurred followed by the final silting up/filling up of the pit post use. Within the fill there was some small amounts of evidence of burning, likely to be debris swept in to the pit. Pottery was generally found in the upper part of the upper fill.
