Narrative

    • A ditch running east to west in the north west of trench 4. It ran from the western baulk for 9.70m before being truncated away or terminating. It had a maximum width of 0.90m and maximum depth of 0.50m. In the slot by the western baulk (4020) there was a significant amount of slag recovered from the fill, there was also some pottery which looks more prehistoric than roman.
