Narrative

    • A discrete spread of charcoal rich soil which contained a pot rim that appeared to have been partially vitrified and a small amount of metal working slag, along with a possible hearth base. This layer, which suggests metalworking activity taking place at the site, was not excavated beyond being exposed within the original topsoil strip.
