Narrative

    • An extension to the west of the original narrow road. This feature was observed in both plan and section. The upper surface of the road extension was generally in a poorer condition than that of the original narrow road and was cut along its western extent by the roadside ditch. The construction deposit of the extension comprised a series of soil, sand, and gravel tips. The extension was partially cut through by enclosure ditch (105).

    • The trackway F107 appeared in generally worse condition along its western edge, and the western edge was recorded separately in the field as F108. However, it is now believed to be part of the same road construction.
