Narrative

    • The roadside ditch of the extended road. This ditch ran parallel to the road and was cut through the gravel forming extension to the original narrow road. The ditch cut was variable in quality, with sides that were often not parallel to one another. The depth of the feature appeared to remain mostly constant. The ditch was cut through by enclosure ditch (105) and refuse pit (102) and cut through boundary ditch (109).
